Cloverly Hill, LLC is the owner of an approximate sixty-eight-acre property on the northeast corner of
Smithsburg Pike (MD 64) and Foxville Road (MD 77). Cloverly Hill purchased the property in 2004.
Following the guidance of the published 2011 Smithsburg Comprehensive Plan, Cloverly Hill, LLC intends
to create a mixed-use intergenerational community named Cloverly. Cloverly proposes to have single
family homes, townhomes, Active Adult Cottages, duplexes and suites, and Assisted
Living suites including Memory Care. Cloverly also proposes a learning center and child day care center,
a new headquarters building for the Smithsburg Emergency Medical Services (SEMS), a neighborhood and
community center with meeting and social function rooms and common work suites, and, subject to further
approval, some form of locally owned hospitality restaurant / tavern. Discussions also remain on-going
with the Smithsburg Community Volunteer Fire Department to include a location for the Fire Department
equipment at Cloverly.
